About the Author
Colin J. Beck is Associate Professor of Sociology and faculty affiliate of the International Relations Program at Pomona College in Claremont, California. He is the recipient of the 2012 Best Article Award in Global and Transnational Sociology and the 2015 Outstanding Article Award in Peace, War, and Social Conflict from the American Sociological Association.
