EU centered. Not a global perspective.

While the book provides insights and case study analyses into modern issues of migration, the entire book is dedicated to European migration issues and to a very large extent, in the context of the European Union, There is almost no talk of Africa (except in regards to some countries needs for visas to enter the EU). There is no mention of Mexico in the book - and I find it difficult to back a book which does not preface the it in terms of being entirely Euro-centric, and find it puzzling to talk about migration in the 21st century while ignoring one of the most active borders in the world. I was strained to find her being open in the introduction about her purpose of this book and am disappointed she didn't situate herself to be more open about what the book is trying to do - and that's talk about European Union migration issues.
